OK people – here is a great Flamenco guitar player giving us some flamenco guitar ‘basics’ (haha) to wet our appetite. The truth is these techniques are very difficult for a beginner – but they sure are inspiring to watch and hear.

You will hear the mis-eastern roots of this style of guitar playing when you listen – yep – you’ve heard the unusual scales and sound of the Muslim call to prayer?.. well this is what influenced those old musicians as Islam made its’ way up and into Spain and we are hearing the echoes of that past history blended with other folk music of the time and to date!
