Custom Elvis Presley Painted Guitar Stratocaster

This Stratocaster guitar features an old black and white oil painting I did of ‘The King’ – of course we know he used to tell his audiences that there is only 1 real king – humble as Elvis was compared to a lot of today’s stars.

Here’s another one of my oil paintings on a Fender Bullet Squire Stratocaster. This painting I did 30 years ago – the original was lost actually by my brother when he moved house but I happened to have 2 photocopies. So the original oil painting is either on someone’s wall or in some skip or trash heap somewhere. Be interesting to know – but I digress.

I took this guitar to bits and added the image before giving a a satin finish on the top side only (I like satin finish best but like to leave the sides and back high gloss to avoid belt buckle scratches and dings etc).

Elvis Presley is so photogenic you could put him on anything and it would look good – in fact Colonel Tom parker – the fellow they are making a biopic about did! He was adding Elvis face to sneakers and T-Shirts and household items 50 years before Esty and Ebay were even imagined!
