What makes this a nice guitar for beginners? Well it's an acoustic guitar without 'gut' (nylon) strings but a steel string acoustic which gives it a nice mix of old and new! The wider fretboard (to an electric or steel string acoustic) is a little easier on the soft fingers of a beginner too. Also it does not need an amp so can be carried around all over the place without a heavy amp and practiced anywhere without upsetting tired neighbours or parents! The black finish of the classical/acoustic guitar looks very stylish (acoustic guitars can look a bit twee) so this is great for kids and teenagers starting out playing the guitar. Not only that - all guitar players - electric and otherwise will need and want an acoustic at some point as they are great for recording, self-accompaniment and actually better (in my opinion) for song-writing.
